ARE YOU A CARING PERSON? DO YOU WORK IN A CARING PROFESSION? The Jesse Klump Suicide Awareness & Prevention Program has opportunities for volunteers to make a real difference in people's lives. We often have openings on our Board of Directors. We meet as a Board quarterly, in a convenient location in Worcester County, and there are few - very few - special meetings called for event planning, or other purposes. Board members serve on one of our committees: Events Planning, Finance, Fundraising, and Bylaws. Most committee meetings are held virtually. General volunteering is a great way to help us get the message out that suicide is preventable, and that there are resources to help anyone who is struggling and thinking suicidal thoughts. You may want to pitch in at community tabling events, where you'll meet a lot of great people. Maybe working in schools is a better fit. Do you often go places where brochures of community interest are displayed? Maybe you could "adopt" one or two to make sure our material is readily available. Better yet, we're open to any suggestions anyone may have that match their skills and interests with our passion. Interested? Send an email to www.jessespaddle.org and tell us about yourself.
