From its beginning, the Jesse Klump Memorial Fund, has endeavored to recognize, support, and reward those who have dedicated themselves to making the world a better place.  

Jesse’s Awarded Grant Programs are another step toward enhancing the availability and quality of mental health care in a rural area where the need is considerable.  There are two types of Awarded Grants which will help to address these demands.

Our Professional Training Grant Program provides grants to professional educators, counselors, and mental health professionals who wish to attend workshops, classes or conferences and have no other source of funding. We also offer grants for postgraduate work to those who are enrolled in degree programs that are compatible with our mission of enhancing mental health care and preventing suicide.

For the Professional Training Grant, the following conditions apply:

• Applicants must be employed in education or healthcare on the lower Eastern Shore, and
• Must plan to bring what they have learned back to serve our local communities.

Working with "Matt's Kindness Ripples On" (MKRO) we provide support for monthly small grants to young people around the globe who have taken it upon themselves to make a difference in their communities through kindness and compassion. The goal is to give these young entrepreneurs the incentive to turn a small grant into a major asset for those who need a lift up in life. One recipient collects clothes for foster children; another through her New Jersey Give Kids a Dream Program teaches life skills through athletics.  To learn more about MKRO, click the link below.
